our Story.

The Ohana:

Born and raised on the small island of Kauai, our family has grown up adventuring these beautiful Hawaiian waters. From swimming, surfing, diving and fishing most of our childhood was spent in or on the water. Fishing has been one of our favorite activities and the one that has brought us closer to not only our friends and family, but the deep roots of our culture.

Our dream realized when purchasing a charter company in our backyard out of Nawiliwili, Kaua’i. Trying to bring joy to anyone wanting to experience an authentic Hawaiian ocean adventure. Offering Fishing or whale watching tours conducted by our local Captain and crew that have been raised fishing here.

The Captain:

Josh has been an experienced boat skipper, attaining his 100 ton Captains License when he was 21 years old. His experience from fishing started when he was just a kid on the Columbia River in Astoria Oregon. He is a 3rd generation commercial fisherman so fishing is in his blood. He went to Bristol Bay Alaska with his uncle when he was just 14 years old. Since then, he’s fished all over Alaska and Hawai’i on numerous boats as a deckhand and a Captain.

Here in Hawai’i Josh was that kid in the rubber raft fishing and crabbing any chance he could get. He has spent many years fishing these Hawaiian waters while raising his family. He and his ohana still fish in Sitka Alaska during the summer months commercially for salmon. Here he captains the ‘HELENA’, a 37’ Force made precisely for Hawaiian waters. Chasing his dreams of being a fulltime fisherman between his two homes.
